Features

Everything HUB does. And where it stands.

A storefront and a shop, even for services. Requests that reach the people who know how. Visibility that runs from your town all the way to the diaspora. For each feature: what it changes, an example, and an honest status.

Open my storefrontWhere things stand
Storefront of an example talent, Atelier Kalé, brand identities for Caribbean creators: lives in Paris, attached to Guadeloupe, remote missions, tags Remote, In Guadeloupe, Caribbean area, French, Guadeloupean Kreyòl and English, and the “Request a quote” button.

Where things stand

Feature by feature, without embellishing.

HUB opens step by step, in Martinique and Guadeloupe: the storefront at launch, the rest afterwards. What is marked “Soon” is not available yet. No date is promised.

My Hub, your storefront

The website for those who don’t have one.

No domain name, no hosting, no one needed to build it. A page in your name, a shop, your offers and services, shared with one link.

  • A storefront in your name

What you do, where, when you are open, and one button to act: order, request a quote, sign up, write. An individual, an association or a business can have one.

Imagined example a market gardener in Morne-Rouge shows her baskets, her opening hours and what she picked this morning.

  • A shop, with pickup and pay on site

Items, a basket, an order. No store needed: you say where pickup happens, at the counter, at your home or at the market. The customer picks up with a six-digit code and pays on site, in cash or by card, as you accept. HUB takes no money. On Free, up to 10 items.

Imagined example a fruit basket ordered in the morning, picked up at the counter at noon.

  • A shop for services too

A hairdresser, a plumber, a developer or a coach has a shop too, even without premises: services on quote, booked by a call or as a workshop with places, at your place, at the client’s or remotely. The customer requests a quote with one button, you find the requests in My Hub, and they pay you on site, in cash or by card, as you accept.

Imagined example a graphic designer receives two quote requests for a brand identity.

  • A link and a QR code to share

Stick it on your stall, on the workshop door or in a message: people land straight on your storefront.

Imagined example a fisherman sticks his QR code on his cool box at the market.

  • The weekly flyer

A poster ready to share, with your products, your prices and your QR code: on WhatsApp, in a story or printed at the counter.

Imagined example a caterer shares the flyer of her dishes for the week every Monday.

  • “Sold out”, on its own or in one tap

You say how many are left. When there are none, the storefront shows “Sold out” and nobody orders what is gone.

Imagined example “Only 3.5 kg left” of avocados at noon, then “Sold out”.

  • Follow a storefront

A customer follows your storefront and finds it again in “My followed storefronts”, without looking for your number.

Imagined example a customer follows the bakery in her village and comes back every Saturday.

  • “What others see”

With one gesture, see your storefront exactly as a visitor sees it, before you share it.

Imagined example before sending her link, a dressmaker checks that her hours are up to date.

  • Waves, for 24 hours

Say what is happening today around a photo: a fresh delivery, Saturday’s workshop. Your statistics are visible to you only; no public counter, no likes.

Imagined example “Picked this morning in the garden. Pickup from 2 pm.”

Soon on HUB

  • Per hour, per day, flat fee, with a real brief

Show your price the way you work: per hour, per day, as a flat fee, or keep “On quote”. And a quote request that comes with a real brief: the need, the place, the deadline, the budget.

Imagined example a developer shows her day rate; an association sends her a brief for its website.

  • Slots, deposits and reminders

Open your slots, ask for a deposit, send a reminder the day before. With Pro.

Imagined example a hairdresser opens her Saturday slots; a customer picks 10 am.

  • Highlights

Keep a Wave on your storefront, filed in a Highlight you name. What you have done stays visible, without an endless feed.

Imagined example a Highlight called “May harvest”, another called “Carnival”.

  • Past work, in photos

A before and after, a finished job, a hairstyle: proof of work. The “Done through HUB” mention appears only when it is true.

Imagined example a cabinetmaker shows a courbaril staircase, before and after.

  • Le Jardin de Maya’s My Hub, as its owner sees it: an order awaiting a reply, a reply to her Wave, her storefront in Morne-Rouge and her Highlights.
    My Hub, owner’s view
  • My Hub as a visitor sees it: Le Jardin de Maya’s storefront, Creole market gardening and orchards in Morne-Rouge, open now, the Follow and Write buttons, and the Shop tab with pickup and pay on site.
    The storefront, visitor’s view
  • A Wave from Le Jardin de Maya, posted 2 hours ago and visible for 22 more: “Picked this morning in the garden. Pickup from 2 pm.”, garden lemons at €3.50 to add and a field to reply.
    A 24-hour Wave

Work remotely, be seen everywhere

Your services, all the way to the diaspora.

What can be done remotely can cross the sea. Your storefront says so, Discover shows it, and the diasporas will be able to find you as you will find them.

Soon on HUB

  • Offer your services remotely

Your storefront says whether you work remotely, your areas and your languages. In Discover, the “Remote” circle shows people who work from afar: a designer, a translator or a developer can be found without being neighbours.

Imagined example a designer living in Paris, attached to Guadeloupe, offers remote missions.

  • From one island to another

The app already knows Martinique and Guadeloupe; HUB opens both islands together. What can be done remotely travels; what has to be picked up or touched stays close to home.

Imagined example a developer in Guadeloupe answers a need from a shop in Le Lamentin.

  • Visible to the diaspora, both ways

Attach yourself to your island from Paris, Montreal or elsewhere, say what you can do, receive requests meant for the diaspora and answer “I can do it”. And the other way round: diaspora talents make themselves known on the island. Where you live is never shown more precisely than the country.

Imagined example from Montreal, an engineer answers a request for advice from an association in Sainte-Luce.

  • French, Creoles, English, Spanish

Declare the languages you work in; then translation on demand, with the original always visible alongside.

Imagined example a craftswoman in Saint Lucia reads a request in French, translated, with the original text.

  • Storefront of an example talent, Atelier Kalé, brand identities for Caribbean creators: lives in Paris, attached to Guadeloupe, remote missions, tags Remote, In Guadeloupe, Caribbean area, French, Guadeloupean Kreyòl and English, and the “Request a quote” button.

HUB Event

An event, and everything around it.

Not just another ticketing tool: the economy before, during and after the event. After launch, free events first; then paid ticketing for organisers.

  1. Free places and waiting list

    Soon

A place confirmed in one gesture. When it is full, the waiting list: if someone drops out, the place goes to the next person.

Imagined example fourth on the waiting list for a children’s percussion workshop.

  2. A ticket readable offline

    Soon

The personal ticket, with its QR and code, stays on the phone and shows even without a network.

Imagined example at the door of a hall without coverage, the ticket still shows.

  3. Entry check

    Soon

People appointed by the organiser scan tickets; a ticket gets in only once.

Imagined example two volunteers scan tickets at the door of a workshop.

  4. Exhibitors, suppliers, volunteers

    Soon

Before the event, the organiser finds stalls, sound, catering and volunteers among the territory’s Hubs; afterwards, everyone keeps the connections made.

Imagined example a festival finds three local producers to run stalls.

  5. Paid ticketing, for organisers

    Soon

Sell tickets, with the money going straight to the organiser. Built on the server side, off at launch, waiting for online payment and fixes.

Imagined example a concert sells its tickets on HUB.

  • Ticketing for an example event, the madras and percussion workshop: a confirmed free place, and fourth place on the waiting list for the full children’s percussion workshop.
    Registration and waiting list
  • Ticket for the madras and percussion workshop: valid ticket, QR code and entry code 424 242, kept on the phone and readable without a network.

Organiser fees Fees for organisers have not been decided yet. What is settled: a free event stays free, and small events will stay free of charge.

PING, Sonar and Resonance

A request goes out. Those who know how receive it.

Say what you are looking for or offering. HUB sends it to the Hubs on your island that declare that skill, without flooding anyone.

  • Write, and be notified

A conversation without sharing your number. A notification when an order moves forward or someone replies.

Imagined example “It’s ready: your order is waiting at Kaz à Fruits.”

Soon on HUB

  • PING: say what you are looking for or offering

Looking for, Offering, A moment. You set the place, the time and your terms: a price, a swap or free.

Imagined example “I am looking for someone to maintain my locks on Saturday, in Le Robert.”

  • Your request goes to the Hubs who know how

It goes to a few Hubs on your island that declare that skill. You know how many received it, never who. Per-person caps and quiet hours: nobody is flooded, and paying never changes who is notified.

Imagined example “Your request was sent to 4 Hubs. 1 person can help you.”

  • Sonar mode, at an event

Switch on your presence for a few hours at a fair, a market or a workshop: see the people who made the same choice, what they offer and what they look for. If interest is mutual, you talk. Everything switches off at the end. No continuous GPS, no map of people.

Imagined example at a trade fair, a cocoa grower meets a pastry chef who was looking for local cocoa.

  • A “Looking for” PING about locks maintenance in Le Robert, with the card “Your request was sent to 4 Hubs. 1 person can help you.”
The request goes to Hubs who know how
  • A “Looking for” request: the card “Your request was sent to 4 Hubs. 1 person can help you.”, then Ti Kaz Locks’ reply offering Saturday at 10 am.
    A reply arrives
  • Conversation with Ti Kaz Locks about a Saturday slot for locks maintenance: a question about length, a request for a photo and a photo of past work at the studio.
The conversation, without sharing a number

Discover and Radar

Discover the Hubs. And what moves.

Discover starts closest to you and only opens a wider circle when it is useful. Radar helps you follow a field over time.

Soon on HUB

  • Discover the Hubs on your island

Hubs, their items, offers and workshops, by circles: your island first, then the archipelago, then remote. Ranked by proximity and proof, never by money.

Imagined example a basil plant, fish of the day and alterations, a few minutes from home.

  • See the requests on your island

What people are looking for on your island: a concrete reason to offer what you can do.

Imagined example a carpenter sees that someone in his town needs a door repaired.

  • Radar: follow watches

A watch follows a field in a territory. The number of watches and the depth of history grow with your level; moving down a level deletes nothing.

Imagined example a caterer follows “catering and events” in Martinique.

  • Service trends

See what the territory asks for in services, not only products: artificial intelligence, graphic design, training. Aggregated trends, small numbers hidden, never the names of those searching.

Imagined example a trainer sees that requests for AI training keep coming back in his town.

  • HUB’s Discover tab in Martinique, in Morne-Rouge: search, the choice between Hubs and Requests, access to the Radar of demand trends, current Waves and Hubs on your island.
Discover, the Hubs on your island
  • Discover, items and offers on your island: filters All, Items, Offers and Workshops, the note “Ranked by proximity and proof, never by money”, a basil plant at €2.50, fish of the day at €14, alterations and a local-wood stool.
    Never ranked by money

Pulse and the maps

See what is moving, island by island.

Pulse shows what is moving on your island. The maps will then show the Caribbean as it really is, and what changes in the territory.

Soon on HUB

  • Pulse, what is moving on your island

A harvest, a service, a workshop, a search, through the day. You show interest, comment, spread it in your network or keep it for later.

Imagined example “5 kg of lemons to share”, in Saint-Joseph.

  • The Caribbean map

Each island in its real shape and place, from the town to the Caribbean basin. What is open and what is planned is stated honestly; small numbers are hidden.

Imagined example you can see that Dominica is closer to Martinique than Guadeloupe is.

  • The living map of the territory

Verified sources, such as towns, the regional authority, transport operators or businesses that would commit to it, could publish roadworks, diversions, outages, disruptions and events there. Every piece of information leads to an action: a shopkeeper warns customers, a courier adapts a round, anyone finds a professional or a resource. This map connects with Radar.

Imagined example a road is closed for works; a baker tells customers that pickup is through the other entrance.

  • Pulse in HUB: five kilos of lemons to share in Saint-Joseph, with Interest, Comment, Spread and Keep.
Pulse, what is moving on your island

The fair price

Your fair price. And your cost price.

Selling direct is possible from launch. The HUB Benchmark and Radar Business will then help you know whether your price is in the market, without ever setting it for you.

  • Sell direct

Producers and service providers sell without a middleman, at their own price, paid on site, in cash or by card as they accept. HUB takes no commission on their sales and services.

Imagined example a farmer sells his yams from his storefront, pickup on Saturday at the farm.

Soon on HUB

  • The HUB Benchmark: place your price

When publishing, the seller, and only the seller, sees whether the price is below, within or above observed prices. The Benchmark places a price, it never sets it. Without enough independent sources, no number is shown, and a buyer never sees whether a seller is “above”.

Imagined example “Within observed prices” for limes by the kilo.

  • Understand your cost price

A simple, free and private calculator: what what you sell really costs, so you don’t undersell your work.

Imagined example a jam maker adds sugar, jars and her time, and finds her floor price.

  • Radar Business: what is missing on the island

Requests and what is missing on your island stay free. With Pro, the depth: what your market asks for, the history of your benchmarks, your margins and alerts on your own products.

Imagined example a market gardener sees that restaurants in his town look for fresh herbs every week.

  • DAAF market price reports

Where we stand: the price surveys published by the DAAF (the State’s agriculture offices) in Martinique and Guadeloupe are identified as sources. Their reuse licence is unclear: an agreement has to be requested from both DAAFs. No data is imported today.

Imagined example later, and only with that agreement, a benchmark could cite the month’s price report, with its date.

  • Basket at Kaz à Fruits, in Le François: three items for €24.50, counter pickup Tuesday to Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm, pay on site in cash or by card.
    Selling direct, pickup on site
  • Order ready at Kaz à Fruits: pickup code 482 913 to show at the counter, the steps Sent, Accepted, Ready and Picked up, and the order summary.
    The six-digit pickup code

Sève and trust

Trust is earned by keeping your word.

On HUB, you don’t rise by making noise: you rise by being useful close to home. Paying never buys a better place or trust.

  • Proof, not likes

On a storefront, the signals shown are facts, and only above a threshold: orders honoured through HUB, a response time. No social gesture ranks anyone.

Imagined example “Replies within 4 hours”, next to a provider’s name.

Soon on HUB

  • Sève: the memory of promises kept

A pickup honoured with its code, a ticket scanned at the door, a mission confirmed by both sides: Sève keeps track of what was really done. It is never bought and never a public score.

Imagined example a customer who always collects what she orders sees her Sève grow, for herself.

  • Reviews from real customers

Only someone served through HUB, an order collected or a service done, can leave a review. No five-star rating, no counter, and a review cannot be bought.

Imagined example after his haircut, a customer leaves a few words on his barber’s storefront.

Projects and funding

A local project. HUB never touches the money.

On HUB, a project owner presents the project and says what it needs. People support it with concrete help. HUB never collects money for projects.

Soon on HUB

  • Present a local project and move it forward

The owner presents the need, the intended use, the deadline and photos. People follow the project, pre-order from the Hub’s shop, offer help (a skill, lending equipment). The owner posts updates and milestones. Alongside, the proof HUB has measured: orders honoured, response time, time on HUB.

Imagined example an association looks for a cement mixer and two volunteers for its community garden, and posts a photo of the first bed planted.

HUB Assist

Assist writes, reviews and reads aloud.

For people who are less comfortable with writing or phones. AI helps you, it never decides for you. Assist prepares, you decide: nothing is published without your “yes”.

Soon on HUB

  • Review before publishing, read aloud

Assist reviews what you are about to publish and reads it aloud; you correct it, then confirm.

Imagined example a fisherman listens to his post before publishing it, and corrects the price.

  • Dictate instead of typing

Say your PING or your item instead of typing it. Dictation exists in the app; the service that runs it still has to be connected.

Imagined example “Add lemons at €3.50 a kilo.”

  • Simple mode

Large text, key screens read aloud, one action per screen, advanced options hidden. Offered at sign-up, never imposed, reversible in one gesture.

Imagined example a grandmother who sells her jams publishes her first item on her own.

  • Help from someone close

Someone close can help you run your Hub without taking over your account.

Imagined example a grandson helps his grandmother update her storefront.

Online payment and delivery

Ready, but switched off at launch.

To begin with, people order or ask for a quote, then pay on site, in cash or by card, as the seller or provider accepts. Online payment and delivery are coming soon.

Soon on HUB

  • Online payment

Pay by card when ordering; the money goes straight to the merchant, through a payment provider. HUB takes no commission on your sales.

Imagined example a customer pays for her basket online and collects it without queuing at the till.

  • Local delivery

Delivered by the merchant, or by a trusted courier.

Imagined example a restaurant delivers its daily dishes within its town.

Where HUB is going

HUB grows step by step.

The ambition is clear: connect the talents, needs and resources of our islands, from the town to the diaspora. Each step says where it stands. No date is promised.

  1. It starts in Martinique and Guadeloupe

The storefront first: each shopkeeper opens theirs, shares it and receives orders.

  2. Between the two islands

    Soon

What can be done remotely travels from one island to the other; what has to be picked up or touched stays on your island.

  3. The Caribbean map

    Soon

Each island in its real place, what is open and what is planned stated honestly.

  4. The archipelago

    Soon

Other islands, one by one, when there are real uses, partners and clear rules.

  5. The diaspora, each island’s second territory

    Soon

Attach yourself to your island from afar, receive its requests, contribute; and make your talents known on the island.

  6. Radar and HUB Signals

    Soon

Demand trends, for products and services (AI, graphic design, training), and what is missing close to home.

  7. HUB Prix

    Soon

The HUB Benchmark, cost price and Radar Business, to sell at a fair price.

  8. The living map of the territory

    Soon

Information published by verified partners, each one leading to an action.

  9. Spreading without a network

    Soon

A PING passing from phone to phone when the network is down, after a test on real phones.

  10. Hubs’ projects

    Soon

Present a local project, have it followed and support it without money.
